Well I guess I am not a consistent blogger
I was hoping that I would somehow magically become an amazingly consistent writer overnight. Is this my goal, no, but I thought that if I were to try and write on a weekly schedule then it would become routine. Well it didn't and honestly I don't think I have that much to say. but we press on!
There has been a lot that has happened in the past few weeks topping it off was my local b-sides conference. If you have never been to one you should go! It was amazing and meeting other local hacker-nerds was what this raccoon needed. Now on to what the heck I have been doing.
Sec+ learning has been going slow, I have also picked up taking my CCNA, and yeah I know that is a lot of studying, but I feel like I did not learn the hands on skills I need to actually wire up a segmented network. So I am doing them parallel. Feels like I am back in college, with less drinking! I have also been taking a bunch of more interesting courses from BHIS and HackSmarter, and of course TryHackMe. while I feel a little overwhelmed at the moment, this type of fast pace and workload seems par for the course when it comes to infosec. I have decided that in order to further my interest into the security of restaurants, I am going to buy some POS terminals and software and try and find weakness in them. So yet even more on my plate, lol
I continue to grow my home-lab/cloud environment. The desire to own my data and not allow corporations to use and misuse my data for their profits or power has definitely been a motivating force in my recent years. Currently I am building an only office server to support a Nextcloud instance. I will be doing some write ups describing my home lab build and design, in the near future.
and Now this has sat in my drafts folder so long that it is almost out dated. So I hit Publish!
