Wow what a journey already!
Let me just welcome you to the brain dump! This will be an evolving blog that is mostly for my own thought recording, walk-throughs on projects, write ups on CTFs, political ranting and any other shenanigans I feel like subjecting everyone to!
While I have been playing around for a while with trying to start a blog, I refuse to have my thought and words hosted by someone other than me. that being said, it was not a straight path to get to this point. A lot of trial and error, plenty of abandoned docker containers, LXCs, vm servers, and lots of monsters later, here we are. The actual impetuous for the launch of this was an assignment for one of Tyler Ramseby's courses on simply cyber https://academy.simplycyber.io/l/pdp/introduction-to-aws-pentesting. He challenged his students to make a blog post walking through one of his challenges. Well challenged accepted, and I don't know how to do anything simply. I will be making a formal write up of the process I went through to get this blog up and running, but it is self hosted on an isolated VM on segmented vlan, behind a reverse proxy, running on a closed tailnet. Like I said, I don't do anything simply.
I am not new on the path of Information security, but this is the first time I have really taken a hard crack at getting certs and breaking into the field professionally. While I can almost promise I am not going to be some major content creating addition to the community, I will try and be consistent with adding to this blog. Welcome to the journey, hope you enjoy the ride!
